How RackRival handles competition data.
RackRival is operated by Rodrigues Media Group, LLC. This policy explains how RackRival handles information used to run the service.
Last updated October 1, 2026
Information RackRival collects
RackRival may collect account details, Firebase authentication identifiers, player profile details, tournament registrations, match results, score history, venue data, and device or browser information needed to operate the service.
How information is used
RackRival uses this information to create accounts, show player profiles, manage tournaments, display brackets, score matches, maintain tournament history, support venue selection, secure authenticated areas, and improve the public experience.
Location and venue data
Tournament venues may be displayed publicly with event details. Browser location for Near Me tournament discovery is sent with the discovery request only when you enable it. RackRival does not add those precise coordinates to shareable discovery URLs or intentionally send them to analytics events.
Mobile phone information and SMS
RackRival may collect your mobile phone number when you voluntarily provide it. If you separately opt in to text messages, RackRival may use that number for transactional and operational messages about your tournaments, registrations, matches, table assignments, schedules, tournament status or scheduling changes, tournament-director activity, important account notices, and similar RackRival service activity.
Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent/opt-in data, will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. RackRival may use communications, infrastructure, hosting, authentication, analytics, security, and similar service providers to process information strictly as needed to provide RackRival. Those service providers are not permitted to use SMS consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. When RackRival sends SMS messages, users may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not necessarily prevent essential account, security, or service notices from being delivered through other available channels.
Email communications
RackRival may send transactional or service email for account verification, security, registration information, tournament activity, match or event information, account updates, service notices, and other messages needed to operate the service. RackRival may use third-party email delivery providers acting on its behalf. Operational and service email is separate from promotional email. If RackRival later introduces promotional email, it will use an appropriate unsubscribe mechanism.
Analytics and third-party services
RackRival may use production-only Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate product usage. RackRival also relies on services such as Firebase authentication, database hosting, and Google Places-backed venue lookup where configured.
Cookies and browser storage
RackRival, Firebase Authentication, analytics, browser geolocation, and the installable app experience may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar browser features to keep you signed in, remember interface choices, dismiss prompts, and operate the application.
Public competition records
Tournament pages, live matches, brackets, player names, venue summaries, and match results may be visible to other players or the public depending on the page and event state.
Retention and choices
You can permanently delete your account in web or app Settings under Account, or begin from the public Delete Account page. RackRival removes profile and contact details, settings and consent choices, saved venues, private notifications, push registrations, Practice/Ghost records, favorites and recent-player state, and the current Rack Rating profile.
Completed match scores, tournament brackets and results, Calcutta transaction structure, and historical rating calculation events may remain when removal would damage another player's history or competition integrity. Those records are detached from the account and use a neutral deleted-player identity; copied names, email addresses, and phone numbers are removed. RackRival also retains a one-way hash of the deleted Firebase UID solely to block stale sessions from recreating the account.
SMS consent choices can be managed during registration or in account settings. See the Terms of Use for additional text-messaging terms.
